Dr. Peter's top three reasons for voting CHP
1. The CHP stands for Principled Government.
The CHP is a party with backbone. It is not a jellyfish party, swept by the tide of popular opinion. Its principles cannot and will not change with the political weather forecast. It stands on a solid foundation in the Biblical Truth.
The CHP is the only federal party committed to the clause in the preamble of Canada's constitution stating that Canada was founded on principles recognizing the supremacy of God and the rule of Law. It is this foundation that has made Canada one of the most free and prosperous nations on earth, and it is this foundation that is so urgently needed.
2. The CHP stands for the Family
The family is the basic unit of society that must be strengthened. The CHP will implement tax reform to strengthen families, instead of tearing families apart as the current system does. We will provide significant tax credits for a parent to stay home to raise their children. The CHP upholds the age-old, traditional definition of marriage. Strong families can only exist with father and mother role models for our children. The CHP is pro-life.
3. The CHP stands for Responsible Government.
The CHP platform includes:
Electoral reform, to make our government responsive to the people. The concept of proportional representation will be implemented so that every vote counts towards representation in parliament. This will allow for more democratic government.
Parliamentary reform, to make Ottawa responsible to the people of Canada. Each MP must be allowed to vote his or her conscience. Parliament must legislate the laws, and the courts must uphold these laws and not be allowed to change them.
Government reform, to make our government efficient. The federal debt must be eliminated. Leaving the federal debt for our children and grandchildren to pay down is stealing. The federal debt must be paid down in our lifetime. We would do it in the same way you pay down your mortgage. You're able to pay down a $300,000 mortgage in 15 years on your $60,000 salary. With this more efficient government, Canada can easily pay down the $600 Billion debt on its $200 Billion income within 25 years.
